OPEIU Local 153 is proud to be a part of the 2024 “Get Out The Vote” (GOTV) effort and we need your help to make a difference this election season! This is your opportunity to get involved, support pro-worker candidates, and earn compensation. There are several ways you can participate based on your availability and interests. Check out the options below and sign up to be a part of this critical initiative!

How Can You Get Involved?

Battleground Deployment
What You Do: Travel to a key battleground state or work locally in one.
Pay: Full reimbursement of all employer-provided compensation, including 401k contributions and healthcare premiums. Travel and hotel expenses are also covered.

Battleground Non-Release
What You Do: If you’re retired or unemployed, work on-site in a battleground state.
Pay: $200 per day, plus travel and hotel expenses.

Weekend Warriors
What You Do: Volunteer full days on weekends or your days off.
Pay: $110 per full day, plus mileage reimbursement or transportation costs (with receipts).

After-Work Campaigners
What You Do: Make phone calls after your regular workday.
Pay: $55 per 3-hour shift.

Phone Bank Volunteers (Family or Community Members Welcome!)
What You Do: Make phone calls in 3-hour shifts to get out the vote from anywhere.
Pay: $55 per shift.
